Come join Opera del West in celebrating Leonard Bernstein’s 100th Birthday!
Opera del West will put on a fully staged production of Candide at the Plaza Theatre of Boston Center for the Arts (539 Tremont Street). This will be directed by Kristy Chambrelli, and will include a chamber orchestra conducted by Eve Budnick. This comic operetta tells the story of a young man, Candide, who is thrown into a world of catastrophes, love, and adventures. Famous songs such as Glitter and be Gay, and Make Our Garden Grow, as well as biting satire round out the show.
