When I think of home...

  • Club Cafe Napolean Roonm 209 Columbus Avenue Boston, MA, 02116 United States (map)

Tenor Fred C. VanNess Jr., noted for having a "domineering, fine voice" will be performing a unique concert of songs and monologue with noted accompanist and vocal coach James Myers. This program is the story of a young bright-eyed black kid from the South who found classical music in college and never looked back.

The performance will include personal favorite songs sung at past recitals including a movement from "An American Requiem" composed by Keith Gates as well as monumental and challenging stages of Mr. VanNess life including the passing of his mother - the musical heart and reflective portion of the concert.
